Selected, approved for design, priced, changed, ordered, delivered, accepted, installed, and paid are different states. A portal click may identify a preference without resolving compatibility, code or design review, availability, lead time, substitution, freight, taxes, waste, labor, overhead, markup, schedule impact, or contract price. Build the allowance comparison

Then connect the authorized state to the job budget, cost code, purchase or work order, vendor acknowledgment, submittal or design review where required, expected delivery, and invoice.

Test a late selection, expired quote, discontinued item, allowance overrun and underrun, bundled options, quantity change, substitution, rejected signature, changed schedule, partial delivery, damage, wrong finish, return, restocking charge, duplicate purchase, installation mismatch, vendor credit, customer credit, and final reconciliation. The field record should confirm what was actually delivered and installed without turning installation into design or contract acceptance.
